CargoX and Actual Group partners in the PORT-Line solutions for port logistics operations

Aug. 29, 2018, 1:57 p.m.

(Hong Kong / Koper- 29 August 2018) - ,

The significant advantage of Actual Group, built over the past 20 years, is based on their comprehensive IT solutions under the PORT-Line trademark, which include a group of products that support port logistics operations, and GASO-Line, which includes a group of products for monitoring and controlling the retail business system in the oil industry.

The Actual Group, through its company Actual I.T., has major references in the logistics industry in the region, the most prominent being the Port of Koper (full outsource of IT since 2004), Port Authority Ploče, Adriatic Port Community, Centralog, and local branches of DHL Logistics, Gebruder Weiss, Kuehne Nagel, Samer & Co, and others (an extensive reference list is available here).

“We decided to cooperate with CargoX because their product is based on modern technology and advanced knowledge, and it is in line with our product philosophy. Together we are stronger in the market, as we enable our customers in the supply chain to operate more efficiently in a safe business environment. Speed, price and safety are not an issue anymore - the emphasis is on competitive tools.

Actual Group has observed the blockchain solution development in logistics for a long time and we learned about CargoX. We were quick to find synergies, and the mutual chemistry did the rest - we formed a strong partnership!”  said Gregor Veselko, Ph. D., President of the Actual Group management board.

Actual Group is recognized in Southern Europe for implementing business information systems based on SAP technology, which are marketed under their BUSINESS-Line trademark. The backbone of comprehensive IT service management is comprised of infrastructure solutions, which are marketed under their SERVICES trademark.

The innovative CargoX platform streamlines the issuance and handling of original bills of lading on the Ethereum blockchain network, facilitating the digital transfer of the ownership of the bill itself and thus its related assets from the issuer, to the shipper, to the consignee, to release agent. This creates the first fully digital, paperless, and secure original bill of lading solutions.

With the introduction of the CargoX Smart B/L™, users of the Actual Group software solutions will reap the benefits of a modern blockchain-based solution: ultimate reliability, security, and much higher speeds of transferring documents between process partakers, as opposed with the current, paper-based system.

The Bills of Lading will be created and transferred in a matter of minutes and for a mere fraction of the current cost.

All document archives will be readily available in the encrypted cloud storage. This approach will save logistics companies massive amounts of paper, time, and money.

“CargoX is proud to partner with advances IT solution providers who are already working with customers to bring them a suite of digital products, tailored perfectly to their needs. The CargoX Smart B/L™ is the first completely secure digital Bill of Lading solution, and we want to see it integrated into all the advanced port and logistics management systems - this is exactly why we are proud to partner with a company that manages the complete information system of the Port of Koper. Actual is a great partner to help us achieve this, especially as they have rich experience with integrating logistic business processes on the leading ERP platforms, which are used as a standard in most of the industries that matter today,” said Stefan Kukman, CEO and founder of CargoX.
