(Dubai, 31 May 2021) - On the evening of 12 June 2021, the Transport & Logistics Middle East conference will recognize elite performances in government, logistics, and trade during one of the most difficult times in recent history. The TLME Heroes of the Pandemic Awards 2021 is a very unique and special awards ceremony, given that its core focus is on heroes who really shone during the coronavirus pandemic.

After running the highly popular and prestigious TLME Excellence Awards on an annual basis, the company opted to alter this year’s theme in honor of the incredible efforts made by many in the region during the global pandemic. In an oft-underappreciated sector, the awards will highlight how players in the supply chain are just as important as those in other frontline industries and professions.

Sam Khan, CEO of TLME, said: “After the success of our videos outlining the heroes of the pandemic, it became clear that the industry – and the wider public – really appreciated the recognition the supply chain was receiving. It became a no-brainer that this had to be the theme of our annual awards, and as that developed, we also started to see the amazing work done in regional governance. As you’ll see in the nomination stories for each award, there are heartening stories, sad stories, and inspiring stories – each of these deserves to be heard and recognized as we come to terms with a new post-pandemic world.”

In 2019, CargoX has already won the 2019 Transport & Logistics Middle East Excellence Awards as the Most Innovative Solution and Blockchain Innovation of the Year.
