CargoX to highlight the potential of digital trade corridors at APEC SOM2 China Shanghai 2026
(Ljubljana, SLOVENIA – 7th May 2026) CargoX, one of the leading blockchain data transfer providers, is to discuss how digital trade corridors can support the development of digital infrastructure to enhance the connectivity of supply chains and narrow the development gap at an event at APEC SOM2 China Shanghai 2026.
Vjeran Ortynski, the company’s vice president of business development, is part of the panel for “Digital Technology, Port Infrastructure & Supply Chain Digitalization”, which focuses on the development of digital infrastructure driven by AI, blockchain, IoT, digital identity and other new generation technologies. The session will also look at the construction of corresponding supply chain and logistics infrastructure, aiming to explore approaches to enhance the connectivity of supply chains in both digital and physical spaces, and narrow the development gap.
CargoX is at the forefront of development and deployment of digital trade corridors, which serve as customs-to-customs data exchange layers, enabling the secure and seamless transfer of information. The result is a more efficient, accessible and secure trade environment that supports economic growth.
If we’re to achieve truly digital and paperless trade, and unlock the benefits it promises, then we need both public and private sector organisations to work together. That’s why these events are so critical, as they create a space that allows for the sharing of ideas and networking which lays the groundwork for formal collaboration. I am looking forward to discussing how digital trade corridors can support the development of digital technology, port infrastructure and the digitalisation of the supply chain with my fellow panellists.
CargoX has extensive experience working with private and public sector bodies to enable digital trade corridors; it signed a memorandum of understanding with Abu Dhabi Customs and Shanghai E&P International to develop a corridor between China and the UAE.
Ortynski will be part of the panel discussion in Session 2: Digital Technology, Port Infrastructure & Supply Chain Digitalization on 15th May at The 2026 Public-Private Dialogue on Advancing Trade Facilitation & Supply Chain Connectivity through E-port, part of APEC SOM2 China Shanghai 2026.
