Driving MPCI filing efficiency with interoperability

CargoX's service, one of the first to support the UAE’s MPCI program, ensures compliant filing, including when filing is delegated. It enables easy-to-use user interface as well as interoperability. It lowers the barriers to participation, including integrations based on JSON and EDI, and offering API integration through REST, EDIFACT, or SFTP.

Additionally, CargoX offers an AI assistant to streamline and speed up the filing process. Future plans include support for filing via email.

“Trust is at the heart of trade, but we must balance security with the ability for cargo to move quickly from origin to destination. The UAE’s MPCI program is a major step forward for the region’s maritime trade, and most importantly, it supports parties of all sizes to participate fully. Our share of the electronic BL market means we are well placed to provide one of the first services to support MPCI’s implementation.”

Bojan Čekrlić, CEO at CargoX.

Supporting security and efficiency in the Middle East

A significant step towards bolstering the security and efficiency of maritime trade within the region, the MPCI program requires shipping lines and freight forwarders to submit BL data to the NAIC before loading at the last foreign departure port outside the UAE.

The program, led by the NAIC under the umbrella of the Federal Authority of Identity Citizenship, Customs and Ports Security (ICP), is live from 31st July. A grace period until 31st March 2026 allows the trade community to make the necessary adjustments to their business and operational processes.
