Important announcement: Mandatory ACI implementation for air shipments to Egypt

The Egyptian Customs Authority, in cooperation with the Ministry of Finance, has announced that the Advance Cargo Information (ACI) system for air shipments to Egypt will become mandatory as of January 1, 2026.

All foreign exporters shipping air cargo to Egypt who are not yet registered must complete the registration process and KYC verification on the CargoX Platform as soon as possible to avoid delays or the inability to ship to Egypt.

All stakeholders are kindly requested to complete their preparations to ensure full compliance before the go-live date.

Step-by-step process for ACI filing

  1. Register or log in to the CargoX Platform.

  2. Complete your company verification (KYC) to gain access to ACI filing features.

  3. Obtain an ACID number – the Egyptian importer registers the shipment on the NAFEZA platform and shares the number with the exporter.

  4. Submit the ACI filing – the exporter creates and sends the ACI envelope (including all required shipping documents) via the CargoX Platform to Egyptian Customs.
