(Taipei, TAIWAN / Ljubljana, SLOVENIA – 14th October 2026) CargoX, a leading provider of electronic trade document solutions, has partnered with Evergreen Line, one of the world’s leading container carriers, to enable Evergreen customers to generate electronic bills of lading (eBL) and transfer them using the blockchain-based CargoX Platform.
The service, available from today, will give Evergreen customers access to a secure, interoperable way of sharing information with other parties involved in the shipment of goods, from consignees, shippers and freight forwarders, to port operators and customs authorities.
Adding Evergreen Line to the CargoX Platform enables its customers to transfer eBLs in a secure, interoperable, and seamless way - helping ensure that all parties involved in the movement of goods can access critical trade information when they need it. This marks another important step toward the digitalisation of global trade, and we are delighted to support Evergreen Line and its customers on that journey.
The eBL document lifecycle includes features such as transfer, surrender, and document acceptance, ensuring comprehensive support for all equivalent paper-based functions. Each eBL is recorded on the public ledger, guaranteeing secure and immutable documentation, with audit logs accessible at all times.
Evergreen Line customers will benefit from CargoX’s commitment to both enabling the adoption of eBL standards and helping shipping stakeholders benefit from using the technology. In June, CargoX was named one of just a handful of providers to adopt the DCSA Standard Annex for electronic bill of lading (eBL) Platform Interoperability v.2, a new standard recently approved by International Group of P&I Clubs, and the latest result of the company’s participation in the building of standards. In May 2025, CargoX was part of the first live, standards-based interoperable eBL transaction, using the DCSA’s data standards and interoperability components.
